About YSCO

In 2018, the first set of jewelry pliers were gifted to me along with some beads, shells, and wire… It may have been the excitement of being able to immediately strut down the farmers market in my new cool HANDMADE jewelry, or my ancestral memories of my grandmothers crafting. Either way, something was lit from within. From that day forward, I had fallen in love with art of jewelry making.

I personally handpick every gem, bead, shell, carving, and bone myself. I spend hours in local craft stores. Sometimes I gather old pieces of jewelry to take them apart and turn them into something new. It all depends where I find myself that day.

The biggest satisfaction as a jewelry maker is to see people light up as they try on a necklace, or when they send me a confident selfie of them glowing in their new earrings. Yellow Spirit Co. is focused on individuality and free expression. Jewelry is spiritual, and should empower a person to be their most authentic selves.

I am grateful everyday to continue creating and sharing my art with the world! Thank you for being a part of our journey.

Sincerely,

Mekele, Yellow Spirit Girl
